At least that is the result of the endless programming power of Absynth's Envelopes and Sample Jumps, but my patches were predominantly focused on synth textures. I felt that many patches don't get used because there is too much variation going on - there are too many sounds. However when for example we deal with very small frequency ranges, using sine waves and narrow spectrums, it becomes apparent how these patches as a whole, can still be perceived as 1 sound - that is either rich or sparse, and anywhere between.Īs a patch, it was important to me that patches were built coherently as 1 sound.
Many of these hybrid sounds fall into the fine area of "multi-track" timbre - we all know that layering sounds is part of sound design.
